AI4S Postdoctoral Opportunities
Several AI4S-related postdoctoral opportunities at Cornell University may align with your interests. Although some of these programs are not part of CAISI, they share a focus on AI and/or sustainability and offer potential opportunities for collaboration with CAISI faculty.
- Cornell Atkinson Postdoctoral Fellowship Program supports recent PhDs in conducting research under the mentorship of a Cornell faculty member and an external advisor. Fellows benefit from professional development opportunities through the Sustainability Leadership Program. This fellowship fosters interdisciplinary collaboration on sustainability challenges and creates opportunities to work with CAISI faculty on AI-driven solutions, making it highly relevant to CAISI.
- Ezra Postdoctoral Associate in Energy Systems Engineering advances research in areas such as energy systems decarbonization, smart energy systems, climate mitigation strategies, life cycle analysis, integrated assessment models, and industrial ecology. Closely aligned with CAISI, this program enables postdocs to leverage AI and systems engineering to address critical sustainability challenges.
- Eric and Wendy Schmidt AI in Science Postdoctoral Program integrates AI into scientific discovery, with one of the four primary themes of the Cornell program focusing on AI for Sustainability Sciences. This emphasis closely aligns with CAISI’s mission.
